She has completed her Bachelor's in B.Sc.,  Life Sciences and Bioinformatics) 2004-2007 at Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher education, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Currently she is working as Assistant Professor , Department of Neurology, University of Texas Health Science Center Houston, Texas Medical Center, USA. She is also Director of The Center for GUT-BRAIN AXIS in Aging.
