Dr.T.S.K.Meenakshisundaram, Managing Trustee, The Avinashilingam Education Trust, has assumed charge as the Chancellor of Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women (Deemed to be University), Coimbatore - 641 043 on the afternoon of 29.05.2023

Dr. T. S. K. Meenakshisundaram obtained his M.A., M.Phil., & Ph.D degrees in History from Annamalai University and Tamil University respectively. He was also conferred Ph.D (Honoris Causa) by Inter American University of Humanistic Studies, USA in 2006. He is the recipient of the Vidya Ratna Award presented by Parathasarathy International Cultural Academy, Chennai in 2006.

He has a long and fruitful association with the University and served in different capacities. He was the Asst. Managing Trustee and Secretary of the Avinashilingam Education Trust Institutions from 2007 to 2010. He is the President of the Advisory Committee of Avinashilingam Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Karamadai and Avinashilingam Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Coimbatore. He was the member of Syndicate, Finance Committee and Staff Selection Committee of Avinashilingam Deemed University, Coimbatore from 2007 to 2010. In the year 2010, he became the Managing Trustee and Chancellor. After his first tenure as Chancellor, he continues to be the Managing Trustee.
