The primary goal of the Life Skills Curriculum is to develop competencies that enable individuals to manage their personal and professional lives effectively. It is offered to all the First year Undergraduate students with an approved syllabus. The key components of the syllabus are :

  • Self Awareness

  • Self Management Skills

  •  Value Enrichment Skills

  • Career Skills

  •  Ethics & Integrity

The students’ towering interest and participation during the sessions of “Gratitude jar” and “Talent Expo”  is a highlighting feature of the curriculum

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Communication Skills training focuses on developing effective verbal and non-verbal communication abilities. It enhances clarity, boosts confidence, and improves interactions both personally and professionally.  As a Part IV Component Skill Based Compulsory Course, Communication Skills training is offered to all the Second year Undergraduate students during the 3rd Semester. By teaching techniques for active listening, conflict resolution, and effective expression, this training fosters better relationships, teamwork, and career advancement.  

Course Objectives

  • To help learners achieve proficiency in language in various real time situations
  • To enhance the communication skills of the learners through engaging activities
  • To encourage good reading habit among the students.

Course Outcome

  • Improved competence in oral and written communication
  • Preparedness and ability to respond to various situations effectively
  • Refined use of language in written communication
  • Enhanced understanding of professional use of English language
  • Ability to practice self-directed learning
     
SOFT SKILLS

As a Part IV Component Skill Based Compulsory Course “Soft Skills Training” is offered to all the Second year Undergraduate students during the 4th Semester. It enhances personal effectiveness and professional interactions, helping individuals navigate workplace dynamics, build strong relationships, and advance in their careers. This training is crucial for fostering a positive work environment and achieving overall success.

Course Objectives:

  • To encourage all round development of students
  • To develop the right attitude through individual and group activities,
  • To help students understand self and other’s personality better
  • Maintain a positive attitude and stay motivated all the time

Course Outcome:

  • Increased awareness about the self
  • Enhanced knowledge of social and professional etiquette
  • Ability to work in teams
  • Positive thinking in interpersonal relationships
  • Confidence in stress management and cultivate emotional intelligence
