Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) for B.E.

Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) programme is based on Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and Outcome Based Education (OBE) pattern.
The Biomedical Instrumentation Engineering graduates will be able to:

PEO1:   Define, establish, and lead the emerging discipline of biological Engineering, to address the societal challenges and opportunities.

PEO2:  Develop skills such as innovation, creativity, adaptability, and critical thinking ability to solve problems in the biomedical industry, medicine, academia, and consulting. 

PEO3:  Develop ability and passion to work wisely, creatively and effectively for the betterment of humankind and rural community and engage lifelong learning opportunities throughout their careers.

PEO4:  Inculcate leadership skills in their chosen fields so that they will function effectively in multi-disciplinary team environments and communicate to a variety of audiences, and enhance their ability to make decision that is socially and ethically responsible.

Programme Specific Outcomes for B.E.

PSO1:  Create engineers who can work in the field of Image Processing, Sensors & Actuators, Biomedical Instruments, Communication, MEMS and allied fields to develop innovative biomedical system for the public wellness and safety.

PSO2:  Develop skills for design, maintenance and testing of medical equipment.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) for M.E.

PEO1:  Able to analyse and design medical equipment as well as carry out research in the area of Medical Electronics.

PEO2:  Able to work in a team and lead Biomedical projects in industry or as entrepreneur.

Programme Specific Outcomes for M.E.

PSO1:  Achieve expertise in Signal Processing, Optimization techniques, Medical Imaging, Biological control systems and applications to Bio-Sciences.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) for Bachelor of Vocation

PEO1:   To attain skill in diagnosing, servicing and maintaining specialised medical equipment.
