Dr. Kalpana Bhaskaran is a world-renowned dietitian nutritionist with more than 20 years of experience in nutrition. She is an expert advisor to the Ministry of Health (MOH), Singapore, with the goal of reducing sugar consumption from beverages. She also serves as the head of the Centre of Applied Nutrition Services and the Glycemic Index Research Unit (GIRU) at Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore, the vice president of the Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association (SNDA), the vice president of Diabetes Singapore (DS), an executive committee member of the Asian Nutrition Society for Sports and Health (ANSSH), and the Singapore representative for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
