Best Green and Clean Campus Award

Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education, Coimbatore has been awarded a three-year-valid certificate for having implemented eco-friendly sustainability Practices in line with the National Building Code of India, Part 11 (Approach to sustainability), covering seven areas: Green audit, Environment audit, Energy Audit, Waste Management audit, Soil and Water
audit, Air quality audit, and Hygiene audit. Nature Science Foundation, the recognizing agency has also honoured the institute with the Best Green and Clean Campus award and the Green Initiatives and Environment Sustainability Award.
In addition, the university has received the Best University Award for its outstanding commitment to academic excellence, the provision of state-of- the-art facilities, leadership development initiatives its proactive efforts in promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices among students.
The Nature Science Foundation, in collaboration with Environment Solutions, also awarded faculty members of Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, for their significant contributions in the area
of environment and education.

Kalam’s World Record Official Attempt

The Department of Printing Technology, School of Engineering, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore, in collaboration with the Tirupur Master Printers Association and the All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP),organized the prestigious  Kalam’s World Record Official Attempt — the Largest Screen Printing of the Indian National Flag, measuring 18 x 12 feet today 22nd April 2025. As part of this record-setting initiative, students from the Department of Printing Technology actively participated by screen-printing the Indian National Flag, demonstrating their technical skills and dedication to the printing profession. This achievement has been recognized by Kalam's World Records.

Our students were recognized and rewarded for their outstanding achievements in kickboxing

Sports Department pleased to inform you that our Assistant Director of Physical Education Dr.P.Nandhini and 14 kickboxing students have attended the high cash incentive ceremony organized by the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu. The ceremony took place on 30.07.2024 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai and was a momentous occasion where our students were recognized and rewarded for their outstanding achievements in kickboxing.
Our 14 kickboxing players received a total cash incentive of ₹27.5 lakhs, acknowledging their dedication and excellence in the sport for the years 2021-2022 & 2022-2023. This recognition is a testament to their hard work and the support provided by our institute.

Dr. P.Chitramani, Professor, Department of Business Administration has been conferred with CMA- PSG GRD Management Faculty of the Year  by Coimbatore Management Association

Over all Champion of All India Inter University Kick boxing women tournament - Avinashilingam Institute women Kick boxing team received the trophy from the organisers Subarthi University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh on 09.03.2024
