Project Summary:
Speech recognition also known as automatic speech recognition (ASR),speech to text is a capability that enables a program to process human speech into a written format.Indigenous languages often face the threat of extinction due to a lack of documentation, digital resources, and limited use in mainstream communication.The Badagas are the largest Communal in the Nilgiris district. This project aims to develop a Speech-to-Text Translator for Badaga Language, which will serve as a bridge to preserve and promote these endangered languages.
