COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is fully equipped with the state of the art laboratories having DELL and HP Machines of latest configuration and required licensed and open source software’s covering a wide spectrum of applications. The laboratories namely Operating Systems Laboratory, Computer Networks Laboratory, Object Technologies Laboratory, PG Laboratory, Database System Laboratory, Compiler Design Laboratory, Cloud Computing Laboratory, Data Science Laboratory, Research Laboratory are equipped with required software’s and LCD projectors.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in 1996. In nearly three decades, it has grown into one of the major departments in the Institute, with a dedicated team of experienced and qualified faculty members demonstrating excellence in teaching and research.It offers Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), Master of Engineering (M.E.), and Ph.D.

Mission
SJS (Swami Jagadatmananda Saraswati)
Values are beliefs about what is right and what is wrong and what is important in life. It is like the rails which keep the train on track. Without values, life will be chaotic. VBE has now been made an integral part of the New Education Policy 2020. The 5 universal values specifically mentioned in NEP 2020, are “Truth, Peace, Non-violence, Love, Righteous conduct”. Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore has instituted “SJS (Swami Jagadatmananda Saraswati) CENTRE FOR VALUE BASED EDUCATION CHAIR” in collaboration with Lalithambigai Trust, Coimbatore. MoU was signed on 19.04.2021.
Objective
The broad objective of the chair will be to design and conduct quality values education projects that equip students with:
- the knowledge, values and attitudes that enable them to be tolerant, respectful and socially inclusive members of society
- skills, abilities and resilience for social, emotional and physical well being as confident, engaged learners.
