The various sections in the library are formed in a right manner which ensures the users for easy and quick access to resources.

Reading Hall

Location: Ground Floor

Property Counter:

The personal belongings of the students and staff members are kept in the property counter provided at the entrance of the library. The staff of library will not held responsible for the belongings.

Main Reading Hall:

The Library Reading Hall has a seating capacity of nearly 150 seats, with centralized air-condition and lighting facilities so as to enable the users feel comfortable. The Reading Hall allows the students to access the latest books available in all subjects. The following facilities help the students to use the library resources effectively. The Three Dimensional RFID Security gate secures all the library resources by providing alarm if a user leaves the library without getting it issued at the counter. Various sections of the library are under CCTV surveillance. Safety fire detection alarms are available to protect valuable resources.

Electronic gate Register :

The members have to place their RFID Identity cards in the electronic gate register at the time of entry and exit from the library. It enables to get the exact number of readers using the library at a particular time. This also provides additional security.

Circulation Counter :

The circulation section is the main entrance of the library. Books are issued on loan and received back in this counter. Members can borrow the books by producing RFID enabled Identity cards. This section is completely automated using RFID technology. Self Check in/Check Out (KIOSK) are being used for issue/return of books. The overdue charges if any are also collected in this section.

Student Service Centre :

This centre facilitates the development of effective academic learning and performance skills in students. It is stacked with nearly 500 books on employment opportunities, competitive exams, self-motivation, interview preparation, personality development etc. It helps the students to develop research skills, languages skills and assists them to become successful and independent leaders.

Print Accessibilty for Print Disabled:

The library has a separate facility for students with special needs. This Centre aims to provide barrier free access and independent reading of library materials. It facilitates learning for visual impaired students with specialized software such as JAWS (Job Access with Speech Software), Kuruzweil reading machine software, Magic software, and specially configured hardware such as Readit Wand Read Easy Move, Seika Braille Display. The library building has a ramp and wheelchair for easy and convenient access to the special needs students.
